Hooks & App Extensions
App Extensions let you register an external app inside the Webround dashboard. You provide the endpoint URL — we send you a signed token to authenticate and you can use a least-privilege Webround API Key to read orders, products and shipments. The logic, the infrastructure and the secrets are entirely on your side. Docker, Cloudflare Workers, Python, GO, a Serverless Function: we don't care how you host it.
Edge Hooks work the same way: you provide the URL, we send an HMAC-signed request on every page render. If you respond within the latency window, we inject your data into the page before serving it to the browser. SAP price lists, Trustpilot reviews, warehouse availability from legacy systems — data only you can fetch because only you hold the keys.
The Checkout Hook follows the same philosophy: you provide the URL, we send an HMAC-signed request on every transaction using a secret we show you once and never again. You validate the signature and timestamp, then run whatever B2B logic you need — tier discounts, credit checks, minimum order restrictions. We execute whatever you return.
